Teachers

Beginning in fall 2020, the Water Authority and Shows That Teach are offering virtual education assemblies to elementary schools in San Diego County to help students continue learning about water and science remotely. Options are available to accommodate different class sizes and elementary grade levels. Email education@sdcwa.org to learn more or schedule an assembly.

Each year, thousands of teachers and students benefit from education programs provided or supported by the Water Authority. Our programs are popular because they align with state standards and are run by professionals knowledgeable about the needs of teachers and students.

The Water Authority’s programs teach students about our semiarid environment, the history and future of water development, water conservation and preserving our natural resources. In addition to helping teachers meet their educational goals, these programs help students prepare for the Water Authority’s mission to ensure a safe, reliable water supply for a lifetime supporting the San Diego region.

Most programs are provided FREE of charge to schools within the Water Authority's service area. More information is at the links below.
