Association of California Water Agencies
The Association of California Water Agencies is the largest coalition of public water agencies in the country. Its nearly 450 public agency members collectively are responsible for 90 percent of the water delivered to cities, farms and businesses in California.
Department of Water Resources
The Department of Water Resources operates and maintains the State Water Project and assists local water districts - like the Water Authority - in water management and water conservation planning, and plans for future statewide water needs (link to Department of Water Resources drought page)
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
The Water Authority imports its water through Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the Water Authority’s largest supplier of water.

The Bureau of Reclamation's Lower Colorado Region serves as the federal agency for the last 688 miles of the Colorado River within the United States on behalf of the Secretary of the Interior.

California Statewide Water Conditions (Department of Water Resources)
Statewide Water Conditions replaces Water Supply Outlook, previously published by the Hydrology and Flood Operations Office of the Division of Flood Management. Statewide Water Conditions is now only available on the California Data Exchange Center website. CDEC installs, maintains, and operates an extensive hydrologic data collection network including automatic snow reporting gages for the Cooperative Snow Surveys Program and precipitation and river stage sensors for flood forecasting.

The Drought Monitor is a combination of multiple indices and data that represents a consensus of federal and academic scientists.
